FISH SCULPTURE

Wed Oct 8, 2008, 8:20 PM
yep that's right... a sculpture. of fish. plastic fish to be exact. I put some unfinished shots in scraps... go check 'em out. And eventually I'll post those paintings... I made an 89 on the project, which people keep telling me is really good, but I'm still like, "aw man... one point!" but I'm lazy so... I'd do it tomorrow before class but I should really spend that time finding a job. >=|

Sunday was a big day for me, I expierenced something that we all manage to do at some point in our lives. Yes friends...

I WRECKED MY GRANDMOTHERS CAR.

>.<

so not cool.

First of all, yeah, it was my fault, I had just worked a 5 to 4 shift at whataburger and only slept a couple hours. I shouldn't have been driving. The other guy was speeding though, so it wasn't intirely my fault. He was going so fast his truck spun around, snapped a telephone pole, and skidded through a fence into the opposite side of the yard from the force of the wreck.

Second of all, I'm not hurt, just a little bruised and scraped up from the airbag with a healthy fear of driving. I hit a HUGE truck though, it could have been much much worse. Had he hit the side of my car intead of the front I could have been killed.

Third of all, in a fight between a dually and a chevy malibu the truck's gonna win every time. Beside the fact that the trucks drive shaft was laying in the road in two parts, it didn't even look like it had been hit.

Fourth, I'm never going to Valero ever ever again. EVER.

Fifth, people can be really nice sometimes. When I stumbled out of the car a little hispanic lady ran up, put her arm around me, and stayed with me until my dad got there. Her husband called the police and my dad for me. They were very nice and I'm so glad that they were there, I don't know what I would have done if not for them.

A new break through band...

of my own creation. Well... sorta. I got this monster from Delya. :delya: Enjoy.

One-Hit Wonder

This one's a bit involved, but it's pretty fun.

Okay, so in order to have a hit, you need an awesome band with an awesome Band Name.
1) To find your totally radical band name, select your favorite artist in your media player. Set your player to "shuffle" (or random, etc.) and press "play." Then skip forward three times. Repeat this three times. Now, re-arrange the words in the song titles to create your band name. You must use at least ONE word from each song. You may use all the words if you like.

Song1- In the Cold Light of the Morning~Placebo, Song2- The Crawl~Placebo, Song3- Days Before You Came~Placebo

Band Name: The Cold Before the Crawl

Great! Now you need a Music Genre.
2) To get your own unique music genre, open your media player and go to the first band listed alphabetically between the letters "M" and and "R". (long letter range for people with small music libraries) Mark down what genre that band falls under. Things such as "Various Artists" and "Unknown" are to be skipped. Now, mark down the last band genre listed between the letters "A" and "F." Combine the two genres to get your own. You may mix names to make a more-fun sounding genre.

Genre1- Pop, Genre2- Rock

Music Genre: PopRock

Now you need an Album Title. All good bands have catchy album titles. This is a proven scientific fact.
3) For your red hot top selling album title, open your media player and set it to "shuffle." (we see a trend here) Press "play" and shuffle forward five times. Mark down the band name. Now shuffle forward three times. Record that band name. Lastly, shuffle forward one more time and stop. Open the playlist for the band you just landed on and shuffle forward three more times. Record the song title your player stopped on. Now make any combination of the two band names and song title you see fit.

Band1- No Doubt, Band2- RENT , Song1- Short Skirt, Long Jacket

Album Title: No Rent, Short Doubt

Now that you got your awesome band name, unique music genre, and too cool for school album title- you need to figure out the title of your Hit Song.
4) To figure out the name that will get you recognized by screaming girls and jumping boys everywhere, open your media player and go back to your favorite artist. Put your player on "shuffle" and skip forward five times. Make note of the song title and band name, then look up the lyrics (or not if you know them by heart) and write down the first two lines of the song. Choose 3-6 words from those lines and they will be your hit song title.

Song- I'll Be Yours~Placebo
Lyrics- I'll be your water
Bathing you clean

Hit Song: I'll be bathing you clean

And now, for the finale- your hit Song Lyrics.
5-A) The First Verse Open your media player and select any four artists who's names fall between the letters "R" and "Z."

Artist1- SmashMouth, Artist2- Thrice, Artist3- Weezer

Go to Artist1 and set your player to "shuffle"- skip forward three times. Write down the first two lines in the song. Next, go to Artist2 and set your player to "shuffle"- skip forward four times. Write down the second two lines from the song. Go to Artist3 and set your player to "shuffle"- skip forward five times. Write down the last two lines in the song.

I can't get enough of you baby
I can't get enough of you baby
My world goes black before I feel an angel lift me up
And I open bloodshot eyes into fluorescent white
Turn these pages of my mind
Oh, oh

That's okay, the best songs don't rhyme at all. This is also a proven scientific fact.
5-B) The Second Verse Repeat the steps you did in 5-A, except find three artists inbetween letters "D" and "L."

Artist1- Depeche Mode, Artist2- Eiffel 65, Artist3- Gorillaz

Again, repeat the second set of steps found in 5-A, this time using your new artist choices.

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
Heaven
Can always turn around
Can you hear me?
I said M1 A1

And now, the best part.
5-C) The Catchy Chorus Open your media player and pay a visit to your favorite artist one last time. Set your player to "shuffle" and click "play" - skip forward three times. Write down the first two lines of the song's chorus. If the song has no chorus, skip to another song that does. Repeat this step three more times, writing down the lyrics as you did with the verses.

I'm weightless
I'm bare
Bite the hand that feeds, tap the vein that bleeds,
Down on my bended knees, I break the back of love for you
I'll wait my turn
To tear inside you
You don't care about us... oh oh.
You don't care about us... oh oh.

That's it. Throw it all together and what do you get?

"I'll Be Bathing You Clean" by The Cold Before the Crawl off of thier new PopRock album "No Rent, Short Doubt"

I can't get enough of you baby
I can't get enough of you baby
My world goes black before I feel an angel lift me up
And I open bloodshot eyes into fluorescent white
Turn these pages of my mind
Oh, oh

I'm weightless
I'm bare
Bite the hand that feeds, tap the vein that bleeds,
Down on my bended knees, I break the back of love for you
I'll wait my turn
To tear inside you
You don't care about us... oh oh.
You don't care about us... oh oh.

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
Heaven
Can always turn around
Can you hear me?
I said M1 A1

*Repeat Chrous and Fade Out

There. Now that you're a super-star, select five of your favorite roadies and make THEM start their own bands. ;D

But I'm not gonna... Although I bet Erin could make an awesome one... *nudge nudge*
